A Florida Highway Patrol pursuit of a stolen vehicle in West Palm Beach closed all lanes on Okeechobee Boulevard on Wednesday afternoon.

Florida 511 reported that the operation was active at Church Street on Okeechobee Boulevard at 12:39 p.m.

According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer, FHP officers were chasing the stolen car west in the eastbound lanes of Okeechobee Boulevard.

Details provided by the Boynton Beach Police Department say that its officers attempted a traffic stop on the truck earlier in the day, but the driver failed to stop. BBPD officers did not pursue the truck further. That’s when FHP conducted a stop on the truck later in the day, when it fled and crashed. The police department emphasized it was not involved in the FHP pursuit.

Furthermore, officials said that this chase resulted in a collision with no injuries. In the latest update at 1:40 p.m., officials said the lanes reopened.
