Ten people are working to recover after a house fire forced them out of their home on Southeast 2nd Street in Boynton Beach.
According to the American Red Cross, two families — including seven adults and three children — were impacted by the fire on June 5. Disaster Action Team volunteers responded shortly after and helped coordinate immediate assistance.
Photos provided by the nonprofit show the damage the fire left behind.
The families received emergency financial support and were connected with services to help cover immediate needs like shelter, as well as health and emotional support resources. The Red Cross says it will continue to check in with the families as they figure out their next steps.
