Bonifay Fire Rescue reports they responded to a dryer-related fire at Big John’s on Friday night.

When first firefighters arrived, they found the fire upstairs coming from a dryer with linens inside, according to Bonifay Fire Rescue. The crew worked together with Chipley Fire Rescue to quickly put the fire out.

The shop didn’t receive any structural damage, Bonifay Fire Rescue said.

The fire department joked in a Facebook post that “We’ve also never seen Bonifay Police Department so eager to assist at a fire scene.”

One of the officers was even rewarded with a donut from the owner himself, according to the post.

Bonifay Fire Rescue expressed their gratitude for the help from local agencies. No injuries or structural damage came from the fire.
