A tow truck driver was killed early Saturday morning after becoming trapped beneath a tow truck in Deerfield Beach, authorities confirmed.

According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded shortly after 3 a.m. to a report of a person pinned under a tow truck near the 400 block of Northeast 48th Street.

BSO’s Traffic Homicide Unit detectives are investigating the death.
