A tractor-trailer driver was seriously injured after a multi-vehicle crash on Thursday afternoon in Santa Rosa County.
It happened on I-10 eastbound at Mile Marker 21 near Avalon Boulevard around 4:45 p.m.
The Florida Highway Patrol says a sedan collided into the back of another car, which caused a chain reaction, involving six vehicles.
This caused the tractor trailer to overturn. Three other drivers had minor injuries.
Multiple agencies responded to the crash site. Avalon Fire-Rescue and Pace Fire-Rescue were among the responding agencies, as well as the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office and public safety.
The crash resulted in a temporary closure of eastbound lanes.
