Two people have been arrested for a deadly stabbing near Plant Bamboo on Saturday night.
The Martin County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) told CBS12 News on Tuesday morning that they have two people in custody and are expected to release more information on the suspects later in the day.
According to MCSO, they received a 911 call from the victim on Saturday night stating he had been stabbed, and he collapsed along County Road 714, also known as Southwest Martin Highway.
Deputies said that the victim was found on the side of the road about a mile east of a large gathering known as M, which the victim was later revealed to have been at earlier in the day.
M is an event where people with large four-wheel drive pickups and buggies drive through mud and camp during the weekend.
At some point, the white, male victim, in his late 30s, was stabbed and collapsed on the side of the road and was found at 10 p.m.
MCSO spent Monday at the scene looking for clues after a man was stabbed in the chest.
Martin County Sheriff’s investigators used a drone and searched for evidence with a metal detector at the crime scene Monday on County Road 714, about 30 miles west of Stuart.
