Two people were hospitalized after a crash involving a school bus in Royal Palm Beach on Wednesday morning.
Palm Beach County Fire Rescue said that crews responded to the crash at 6:33 a.m. on State Road 7, just north of Southern Boulevard.
Upon arrival, responders reported finding a three-vehicle collision that included two passenger cars and a school bus.
The School District of Palm Beach County said the bus involved in the crash was School Bus 8555, which serves Loxahatchee Groves Elementary School and had five occupants: a driver, an attendant, and three students.
First responders assessed a total of seven people at the scene.
Two people were transported to a local hospital for evaluation, while the others, including the bus occupants, declined further medical attention and opted not to go to the hospital.
Family members of the students arrived at the scene and were reunited with their children.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office and Palm Beach School District Police were also on-site to conduct an investigation.
