On Tuesday afternoon, just before 3 p.m. in the parking lot of the Publix off Hwy. 231 on Lindsey Crossing, two adult men got into a verbal altercation over an ex-girlfriend, according to Panama City officials.

We’re told the argument quickly escalated, turning into a violent fight involving machetes.

Both were taken to a local hospital after sustaining non-life-threatening injuries.

Panama City officials say both will be criminally charged after receiving medical treatment.
