‘Very dangerous man’ wanted for kidnapping, armed sexual battery in Winter Haven

The Winter Haven Police Department is searching for a man who they say kidnapped a woman and sexually battered her at gunpoint.

A felony warrant was issued for Walter Ray Bouiye, 46, on charges of sexual battery with a firearm, armed kidnapping, possession of firearm by convicted felon, and tampering with a witness.

Bouiye took the victim to his home on 5th Street NE on March 20 and held her against her will, according to police. They alleged he took the victim’s cellphone away from her to prevent her from calling 911.

The victim escaped his home two days later while Bouiye was asleep, Winter Haven police said.

Bouiye is on the run and drives a black Nissan Altima with a Florida license plate reading 77CGYH. Anyone with information is asked to call WHPD Detective Shook at (863) 401-2256.
