A retired nurse was killed over the weekend in a “brutal stabbing” in Polk County, deputies said.
The Polk County Sheriff’s Office said the 65-year-old was slain in Davenport.
“The victim was well-liked in his neighborhood, and he was known for helping people who were down on their luck,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement.
An arrest has been made in the case, but no other details, including any other information about the victim, were immediately released.
Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd will discuss the case at 10 a.m.
