A 68-year-old woman has been arrested for her role in a fatal stabbing at a senior living facility on Jacksonville’s Northside, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
Police said CC stabbed 73-year-old RT multiple times at the Morris Manors Apartments on Norfolk Boulevard and is now facing a murder charge.
C has been booked into jail while the investigation continues, JSO added.
On Tuesday, shortly after 2 a.m., officers were called to the Morris Manors Apartments, where T was found with stab wounds on the floor of the lobby.
While investigating, JSO said its officers noticed a trail of blood extending from T’s location to a specific unit where they found C.
“After speaking with C and reviewing the evidence at the scene, our Homicide detectives arrested her for T’s murder,“ JSO said.
The agency added that T and C knew each other prior to the fatal incident.
