MIAMI – A 37-year-old woman appeared in Miami-Dade County court on Monday accused of attacking her grandmother during an argument over a phone, records show.
Police officers responded to an apartment on Sunday afternoon at Southwest Seventh Street, near 16 Avenue in Miami’s Little Havana neighborhood, records show.
After talking to the 70-year-old victim and a witness, police officers arrested Francis DeLeon shortly after 4:40 p.m., for domestic violence, records show.
DeLeon, who was born in the Dominican Republic, was out on a felony bond for possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia with intent to use, records show.
Miami-Dade correctional deputies booked DeLeon at 11:25 p.m., at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center. She faced a charge of battery on a person 65 or older. Her bond was $5,000.
