A Holly Hill woman was killed Sunday morning in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of South Orchard Street and Cherrywood Drive in Ormond Beach on Sunday, according to the Ormond Beach Police Department.
Rebekah Petrick, 34, the driver of a sports utility vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a police statement.
The SUV’s passenger and the driver of the sedan involved were both injured and transported to a hospital.
Police Chief Jesse Godfrey extended condolences, saying, “Our thoughts are with everyone involved. This remains an active investigation, and we are diligently working to determine the circumstances surrounding the crash.”
The driver of the sedan is cooperating with the ongoing investigation.
