Woman killed, man injured in Miami crash

 A woman has died and a man was hospitalized following a Thursday night car crash in Miami, authorities confirmed.

According to Miami police, a 24-year-old man who was driving a vehicle rear-ended another car that was stopped at a red light on Northwest 12th Avenue and 11th Street.

The man then continued north to the intersection of Northwest 12th Avenue and 20th Street where he ran a second red light before crashing into a vehicle that was traveling east, authorities said.

First responders said the driver of that third vehicle, identified as Cinthia Liliana Sierra Linares, 35, was trapped in her vehicle after the crash.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man who police said caused the collision was transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital with a wrist injury, Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Lt. Pete Sanchez said.

Police confirmed that a blood test was conducted at the hospital and results are pending.

The man’s identity has not yet been released.
