Woman struck, killed by hit-and-run driver in south Palm Beach.

PBSO reports that they have taken possession of the SUV, a black 2016 GMC Terrain.

This is still an active investigation.

SOUTH PALM BEACH, FL — A 73-year-old woman is dead after a hit-and-run crash South Palm Beach.

The deadly crash happened near 3546 South Ocean Boulevard in South Palm Beach just after 6 PM on Friday, November 10th, 2023.

The Palm Beach County Sheriffs Office (PBSO) is currently searching for a GMC Terrain from the years 2016 2017 in color. They suspect that this specific vehicle was involved in a hit and run incident that took place on Friday evening in South Palm Beach. According to PBSO the GMC Terrain was heading northbound on S Ocean Boulevard in the 3500 block when it collided with 73-year-old Hatixhe Laiqi who was crossing the road. The impact occurred on the front/side of the vehicle causing Laiqi to be thrown onto the pavement.

Sadly, despite efforts made at the scene, Laiqi  did not survive.
