Woman struck, killed in hit-and-run crash in Kissimmee

 A woman was struck and killed Wednesday morning in a hit-and-run crash in Kissimmee, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash happened around 6:20 a.m. on Florida Parkway near Birchwood Circle.

The woman, only identified as an adult, was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Troopers are seeking information on the vehicle and its driver.

Both directions are currently blocked on Florida Parkway at Birchwood Circle.

Anyone with information is asked to call FHP at *347 or Crimeline at 800-423-8477.

An investigation is ongoing.
