Young man stabbed to death during fight inside Arlington apartment:  Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office

A man in his early 20s was stabbed early Thursday morning during an altercation inside an apartment on University Boulevard North in Arlington, Jacksonville police said.

Sgt. Steve Rudlaff said the man was taken to Memorial Hospital by paramedics but died at the hospital.

Investigators have detained several people for interviews, but the circumstances of the fight and the relationships of those involved are unclear, Rudlaff said.

The stabbing was reported just after 12:30 a.m. Thursday at an apartment complex across from a university.

Police said at least three children were inside the apartment at the time of the stabbing.

Their grandmother spoke to News4JAX about what happened.

“I’m just scared now. I am scared for my grandkids. I’m scared for my daughter. What is going to happen? There is a lot going through my head,” she said. “Nobody should have to live through this. My daughter, my grandkids. Nobody.”
