A 24-year-old Lehigh Acres man is dead after a three-vehicle crash in Lee County early Wednesday morning.
The Florida Highway Patrol responded to the scene on SR-82, at Bell Boulevard, around 4:55 a.m.
Troopers said when they arrived, they found three vehicles involved.
Investigations revealed that the 24-year-old man was driving south on Bell Boulevard, approaching a stop sign at the SR-82 intersection.
The second car carrying a 57-year-old man and a 43-year-old woman from Cape Coral and the third car carrying a 57-year-old man and a 39-year-old woman from Immokalee were driving west on SR-82 on the outside lanes.
The Lehigh Acres man reportedly failed to yield from the stop sign and entered the path of the second car.
Troopers said the front end of the second car struck the left side of the Lehigh Acres man’s car, ejecting him from the vehicle.
The third car then reportedly struck the Lehigh Acres man.
Troopers said the Lehigh Acres man was pronounced dead on the scene.
The identity of those involved has not been shared at this time.
FHP said this is an ongoing investigation.
