1 dead after crashing into tree in Tamarac: BSO

A 38-year-old woman died after she crashed into a tree in Tamarac, deputies said.

The Broward Sheriff’s Office arrived at the scene early Saturday morning near West Prospect Road and West Commercial Boulevard.

According to detectives, the driver, 38-year-old NLM, was heading westbound on West Commercial Boulevard and for unknown reasons, her vehicle went toward the raised concrete median.

She struck the median and then hit the tree.

Rescue crews at the scene found the vehicle and extricated her.

M was transported to Broward Health Medical Center, where they succumbed to their injuries.

BSO is investigating the fatal crash.
