A pickup truck driver died after the vehicle collided with a train near Lakeland on Tuesday.
The crash between the empty cargo train and truck happened next to Kathleen Road, between Deeson Road and Spivey Road, north of Lakeland.
Drivers are asked to avoid the area and to take alternate routes, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.
