1 dead in overnight Lake Park shooting

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO) is investigating a deadly shooting in Lake Park early Thursday morning.

According to the sheriff’s office, deputies responded to the 600 block of 6th Street, which is next to a park, between Bayberry Drive and Date Palm Drive. They reported the man was dead when they arrived and had suffered multiple gunshot wounds.

PBSO noted they are investigating his death as a homicide.

The statement did not provide any information on whether anyone has been taken into custody in connection with the shooting, nor did it say if investigators have identified a potential suspect.

The release did assure residents that there is no threat to the public.
