1 dies after car crashes into palm trees in Coconut Creek

One person has died after a car plowed into at least two palm trees in Coconut Creek, authorities confirmed.

Sky 10 was above the 3500 block of Wiles Road just after 10 a.m. as a white car was on its side between two palm trees that had been knocked down.

The car had heavy damage throughout.

Coconut Creek police confirmed that only one vehicle was involved in the crash.

Police said Wiles Road is currently closed between Northwest 39th Avenue and the Deerfield Beach line.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

No other details were immediately released.
