1 found dead in late night Belle Glade shooting

A deadly late-night shooting has investigators urging anyone with information about the killing to come forward and reach out to law enforcement.

According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO), deputies found the man’s body around 11 p.m. on Tuesday when they responded to a reported shooting on in the 800 block of Southwest Avenue B, north of Dr. MLK Jr. Boulevard, in Belle Glade.

Authorities confirmed the man died from apparent gunshot wounds, and the Violent Crimes Division is investigating his death as a homicide.

The PBSO statement did not include the name of the victim. It noted that information about whoever shot him or why is not clear at this time.

Anyone with information about the investigation is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-458-8477 where they can leave an anonymous tip. PBSO also says anonymous tips can be made using the “See Something” feature in the PBSO app.
