One person was taken to the hospital following a stabbing in Golden Gate Sunday morning.
According to the Collier County Sheriff’s Office, deputies are investigating the scene on 44th Terrace SW.
Greater Naples Fire and Collier County EMS crews responded to the incident at 2:55 a.m.
One neighbor, Randey Gil, said he surprised a stabbing happened in the neighborhood because it’s a safe area.
“I’ve grown up here, I’ve heard it once-a-year where someone gets shot or gets stabbed,” Gil said. “But having it this close is kind of kind of strange. It’s not normal.”
