One pedestrian was injured in a hit-and-run crash in Keystone Heights late Saturday night leading Florida Highway Patrol troopers on a search for the driver who fled the scene.
The crash happened near Lake Geneva at the intersection of State Road 100 and Southeast Lakeview Drive.
The pedestrian, a 38-year-old woman from Keystone Heights, was walking in the westbound lane of State Road 100 when she was struck by an unknown vehicle, according to the press release.
The car did not stop and continued driving west.
The woman was transported to UF Shands in Gainesville with serious injuries.
There is no description of the unknown vehicle yet, but anyone with information relating to the crash is asked to contact an FHP trooper at 904-695-4000.
