1 injured in shooting on Colonial Drive in Orlando

One person was injured Monday in a shooting on Colonial Drive in Orlando, police said.

The shooting happened near the 2800 block of East Colonial Drive. The road was closed in both directions from South Primrose Drive to Maguire Boulevard, but is now back open.

“OPD is actively investigating a shooting incident,” police said in a statement. “All individuals involved in this case have been identified, and one person was transported to a local hospital. At this time, there is no threat to the community. This remains an active and ongoing investigation.”

Earlier, police posted on X that people should avoid the area.
