1 killed in Brevard County house fire, deputies say

A “female” was killed in a house fire in Brevard County on Saturday afternoon, according to officials.

The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office said that they responded to the fire reported on Elm Drive in Melbourne along with Brevard County Fire Rescue.

Officials said a female was found dead inside of the home, but no other details or age of the victim were released.

The fire is extinguished and officials said the fire marshall and homicide agents are on the way to start their investigation.
