A 16-year-old high school student died on Saturday, one day after being hit by a car while riding his bike.
Officers responded to a crash on Friday around 6:38 a.m. involving a bicyclist at Keene Road and Cleveland Street, according to a release from Clearwater’s Public Information Officer.
The release said that the teen was biking in the crosswalk against a red light when he was struck by a vehicle traveling south on a green light.
The teen was rushed to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
