19-year-old motorcyclist dies after being thrown from bike in Orange County crash, FHP says

A 19-year-old Orlando man died after crashing in an entrance ramp while riding a motorcycle through Orange County early Saturday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred around 1:22 a.m. as the man traveled on a westbound entrance ramp to State Road 528 from John Young Parkway, troopers said.

An FHP crash report states the man failed to negotiate a right-hand curve and ran off the roadway, being thrown from the motorcycle and striking a guardrail.

The man was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, troopers said, adding he was wearing a helmet in the crash.

FHP is still investigating.
