A 19-year-old man riding a motorcycle was killed Tuesday night in a crash on State Road 45, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred around 8 p.m. north of SW 46th Avenue.
The 19-year-old motorcyclist from Archer was traveling north on SR 45 and tried to “lawfully” pass cars when he hit a Ford F350 trying to turn left across the highway, the FHP report said.
The 19-year-old died at the scene. He was wearing a helmet, troopers said.
The 46-year-old man from Newberry who was driving the truck was not hurt. He was wearing a seat belt, according to the report.
