2 arrested, 1 injured in Pasco County gas station shooting

 Two people were arrested on Saturday after a shooting at a Chevron gas station that left one person injured.

According to the New Port Richey Police Department, officers responded to calls about a shooting in the area of Massachusetts Avenue and Congress Street at 10:41 a.m.

An investigation revealed that two men had opened fire during an altercation.

Officers said their initial gunshots missed each other but a stray bullet hit an individual who was in a parking lot across the street.

The victim, who was struck in the lower body, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Bayonet Point Hospital for treatment.

New Port Richey police arrested the suspects, SG, 44, and EG, 38, and charged them both with second-degree attempted homicide.

G received an additional charge of shooting into an occupied structure.
