2 dead, 1 hospitalized following crash at St. Pete intersection

Two drivers are dead and a passenger was hospitalized following a late-night crash in St. Pete, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Just before 11 p.m. on Tuesday, a 24-year-old St. Pete woman was traveling westbound on 46th Avenue North and had stopped at a stop sign at the intersection of Park Street North.

At the same time, a 49-year-old Mary Esther man on a Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling northbound on Park Street North.

FHP said the woman then drove through the intersection, not yielding to the motorcyclist who had the right-of-way.

The motorcyclist struck the side of the woman’s car, killing both drivers at the scene of the crash.

A 23-year-old St. Pete man, who was a passenger in the woman’s car was taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.
