2 dead, child hospitalized in St. Pete crash

Two people were killed Tuesday evening in a crash in St. Petersburg, police said.

The St. Petersburg Police Department said at about 5 p.m. Tuesday, an SUV and a tow truck crashed at the intersection of 5th Avenue South and 22nd Street South.

Two adults in the SUV, identified as Shakesha Desence and Dilean Desence, were killed. Dilean’s Desence’s 9-year-old grandson was taken to All Children’s Hospital with serious injuries.

Police are investigating the crash.
