2 in custody after domestic disturbance at Residence Inn Boca Raton

Two people are in custody after a domestic disturbance Tuesday morning in the lobby of a hotel in Boca Raton, police said.

This took place at the Residence Inn Boca Raton along 500 Northwest 77th St. west of Interstate 95.

In a post on X at 11:55 a.m., police said after the domestic disturbance there was a physical altercation outside the hotel.

As officers arrived, a man involved in the incident, who was believed to be armed, fled back into his hotel room.

“Eventually, the man exited the room and was taken into custody,” police said in the social media post.

The man, whose name hasn’t been released, was arrested and faces battery and aggravated assault charges.

A woman who was associated with the couple was also arrested at the scene for an outstanding warrant, police said.
