Two pedestrians died after they were struck by a car in Lakeland Wednesday night.
The crash happened at 10:49 p.m. at the intersection of South Florida Avenue and Imperial Boulevard, according to Lakeland police.
The car was heading south when it hit the two pedestrians, who were walking across South Florida Avenue in a crosswalk. They were both pronounced dead at the site of the crash.
The driver of the Toyota Yaris was identified as a 22-year-old Lakeland woman.
The roadway was closed down for four hours while officials investigated the crash.
