Two women were killed on Williston Road Tuesday morning when their vehicles collided head-on.
According to Alachua County Fire Rescue, firefighters responded to a head-on collision on Southwest Williston Road in the area of Wacahoota Road just before 5 a.m.
State troopers say a 30-year-old woman from Gainesville headed southbound veered her car into the northbound lanes. The car collided head-on with a car driven by a 57-year-old woman from Crystal River.
Both drivers were taken to UF Health Shands Hospital where they died.
