A motorcyclist was killed in a crash on State Road 70.
The crash happened Monday afternoon.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 42-year-old man was in a vehicle waiting to turn across the eastbound lanes of SR-70 onto Manor Hill Lane East into the path of the motorcycle.
The motorcyclist, a 20-year-old man from Palmetto, collided with the rear of the vehicle. The motorcyclist suffered sever injuries as a result.
He was taken to the hospital where he later died.
FHP is investigating the crash.
