20-year-old motorcyclist killed in single-vehicle crash in Escambia County

A 20-year-old motorcyclist died in a single-vehicle crash Friday morning in Escambia County.

It happened around 12:30 a.m. on Commerce Park Circle west of Pipeline Rd. in Brent.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, the motorcyclist — a 20-year-old Pensacola man — was westbound on Commerce Park Circle when he failed to negotiate the curve to the right.

FHP says he hit the curb, continued into the wood line and was thrown from the motorcycle.

The man was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

No further details were released.
