A 23-year-old Jacksonville man died Sunday morning after crashing into a tree near Southside Boulevard, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

FHP said the man was traveling in his car around 6:45 a.m. while heading north on I-95 when he took the exit ramp to Southside Boulevard, traveled off the roadway, and came to a rest after crashing into a tree.

The agency added that the man was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash.
