24-year-old motorcyclist dies in Bradford County crash

The Florida Highway Patrol said a 24-year-old motorcyclist from Raiford died on Tuesday evening following a crash in Bradford County.

The crash took place on Weldon and North Orange streets around 5:30 p.m.

FHP said a 68-year-old man was driving a pickup truck west on Weldon Street while the motorcyclist was driving east on the same road.

The pickup truck’s driver “failed to observe” eastbound traffic and began driving in the eastbound lane before crashing into the motorcyclist.

The 24-year-old was taken to the hospital where he died, FHP said.
