Herlin Petion faces 2nd-degree murder charge

ORLANDO, Fla. – A 25-year-old was arrested Monday after a man was found dead in a crashed car in July 2023 in Orlando, according to the police department.

The Orlando Police Department said Terrance Dolan, 56, was found inside a crashed vehicle in the area of Summerlin Avenue and Palmer Street.

Officers said the man’s injuries did not line up with injuries sustained in a crash and his death was deemed “suspicious.”

The suspect, Herlin Petion, was taken into custody on Monday by U.S. Marshals in Ohio.

He was identified as a person of interest in August 2023.

Petion faces a charge of second-degree murder with a weapon.
