25-year-old killed after crashing into construction zone on I-4

A 25-year-old woman was killed after crashing her car into an active construction zone early Tuesday morning.

The Florida Highway Patrol says the crash happened just after midnight in the westbound lanes of I-4 near SR-528.

They say the woman was driving on I-4 westbound from Sand Lake Road through an active construction zone when she hit an unoccupied, parked car in the construction zone.

Troopers say the woman’s car then rotated and she was partially ejected from her car.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.
