A 26-year-old died Tuesday night after losing control of his vehicle, the Florida Highway Patrol announced.
According to FHP, troopers responded to the scene on Lane Road and Auric Terrace around 8:30 Wednesday night.
A Chevy Trailblazer, driven by a 26-year-old man from Dade City was traveling southbound on Lane Road when he lost control of the vehicle and collided with a tree and then utility pole.
The driver was transported to a nearby hospital where he died from his injuries from the crash.
According to FHP, the driver was not wearing a seatbelt.
