27-year-old motorcyclist killed in Santa Rosa County crash

A 27-year-old Pace man is dead after a crash in Santa Rosa County on Tuesday night, according to FHP.

Troopers say the crash occurred around 7 p.m. onChumuckla Highway and Smyer Drive when a 35-year-old Milton woman was driving westbound in an SUV on Smyer Drive and failed to yield the right of way.

She then entered the intersection and collided into the 27-year-old motorcycle driver that was travelingnorthbound on Chumuckla Highway, according to FHP.

Troopers say the driver of the motorcycle was pronounced deceased on-scene.

The 35-year-old SUV driver has suffered from minor injuries.

No further details have been released.
