A pedestrian was struck and killed Friday night on Nine Mile Road, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers say a 29-year-old man crossed the roadway into the path of a vehicle driven by a 17-year-old Gulf Breeze girl.
The incident occurred around 10:47 p.m. near Holsberry Road.
FHP said the girl was unable to avoid colliding with the pedestrian. The investigation is ongoing.
No further details have been released.
