30-year-old motorcyclist killed in crash on County Road 30A in Walton County

A 30-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a crash early Friday morning in Walton County.

It happened around 1:50 a.m. on County Road 30A approaching Preserve Place.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, the 30-year-old Santa Rosa Beach man was traveling west on County Road 30A when his motorcycle ran off the roadway. He collided with a Walton County Sheriff’s Office road sign trailer.

The driver of the motorcycle was ejected and landed in the roadway. A Chevrolet driven by a 30-year-old Santa Rosa Beach woman then “made a second impact to the driver of the motorcycle.”

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead on scene.

No one else was injured.
