34-year-old Pensacola man killed in head-on crash in Escambia County

A 34-year-old Pensacola man was killed in a head-on crash in Escambia County Thursday morning.

It happened around 11:40 a.m. at N W Street and Truman Ave.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, the 34-year-old man failed to maintain his single lane in his car. He crossed over the center lane and collided head-on with an oncoming pickup truck.

Both vehicles sustained heavy front end damage.

The 34-year-old man was pronounced dead on scene, while the pickup truck driver — a 32-year-old Pensacola man — was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.
