Four people were hurt after a multi-vehicle crash on State Road 16 near the Shands Bridge Wednesday afternoon, according to the St. Johns County Fire Rescue.
The crash happened on State Road 16 near State Road 13 North, and involved four vehicles.
Two people suffered serious injuries and were taken to a local trauma center for treatment, officials said.
The crash caused traffic backups in the area as emergency units responded.
