48-year-old man killed in head-on crash with pickup truck: Florida Highway Patrol

A 48-year-old man was killed Sunday evening in a head-on crash with a pickup truck in Alachua County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The 48-year-old, who is listed as being from Archer, was driving a car on State Road 121 just before 7 p.m. Sunday when he collided head-on with a pick-up truck being driven by a 61-year-old man.

The 61-year-old driver, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries.

The 48-year-old from Spring Hill was not wearing a seat belt and died from his injuries.

Troopers did not release any other information about the crash, including which driver was in the wrong lane.
