53-year-old Pensacola woman driving scooter critically injured in hit-and-run

 A 53-year-old Pensacola woman driving a motorized scooter was the victim of a hit-and-run in Escambia County on Friday night, according to a Florida Highway Patrol report.

FHP says the hit-and-run happened on N. Old Corry Field and Merito Street at around 11:44 p.m. The woman was taken to a nearby hospital with critical injuries.

According to FHP, an unknown driver in a sedan hit the victim while traveling in the northbound lane on N. Old Corry Field. Troopers do not have information on the make and model of the sedan, yet. However, they do say that the right passenger side mirror might be missing from the sedan.
